People of The Information Factory – Vladimir Pirozek

In this second edition of ‘People of The Information Factory’ we Introduce Vladimir Pirozek, the youngest member of our team. Skilled data specialist and full-stack developer with a passion for solving problems.

Early Days in IT

I jumped into the IT world when I was 19. After university, I started working part time at a startup in Prague doing data warehousing.

It was a new and fascinating period for me, I was able to discover so much in a small company where I could to learn rapidly through hands-on experience. Developing a digital banking system was a challenge, but I loved learning all the specifics, the fast paced environment and absorbed every new experience like a sponge

Thriving at The Information Factory.

I was introduced to the company through colleagues who recommended me for a data engineer position. Transitioning from the corporate banking sector was a huge relief, offering me a more collaborative environment where you know your co-workers in person.

Over the years, I’ve been able to improve my skills working on exciting projects with different needs and to take up new responsibilities. My next assignment is to migrate a database from Teradata to Snowflake technology, I’m eager to start and tackle this new challenge.

Thanks to The Information Factory, I have stepped into the technical lead’s shoes on different projects which has expanded my skill set. I’m excited to apply this experience to a future project.

Future Goals

I have always been passionate about video games and aspire to develop an RPG. This is a long-term dream of mine. For now, most of my free time is dedicated to practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and I will compete in an amateur competition this winter. Between all of that I try to spend as much time as possible with my family being a happy father of two little children!”
