On this day, November 22nd 2004, The Information Factory was born and today we celebrate our 20th birthday!

The idea for the company was inspired by a concept known as the ‘corporate information factory’ developed by Bill Inmon and Claudia Imhoff, where data sources and systems are integrated to generate maximum value for the user. Our CEO and founder, Robert Jordan recognised the potential of the concept and so named the company after it.

Data has always been at the heart of The Information Factory. One of our key strengths is ensuring that this valuable asset is transformed into clear analysis, detailed business insights and decision making power.

As The Information Factory began to grow it became obvious that business is not merely transactional but also has a social purpose. One of Rob’s mantras is to enjoy working with people – whether they be colleagues or customers.

Therefore we’re delighted that some of our customers have been with us since 2004 and that the longest serving teammate has been with The Information Factory since 2005.
