Today we introduce Timea Eggenhofer, project manager and the newest member of The Information Factory team. Here’s a sneak peak into Timea’s journey from Web Designer to excellent Project Manager, via a stint as a bakery owner.
“I studied Maths and Chemistry at university, then made a 180-degree turn and dived into the world of web design. I learnt the ropes alongside very talented developers just as the internet was beginning to take off. It was a world of new opportunities and as my experience grew I began managing projects myself.
Joining The Information Factory
I moved from project to project with different companies, obtained certifications in project management and even opened my own gluten-free and vegan bakery!
Then the LinkedIn magic happened and The Information Factory found me! Viktoria Feketeova reached out and I was instantly impressed. I had multiple interviews that felt more like a friendly chat and became convinced that working with this company would be a great opportunity for me.
Work-Life Balance and Learning Opportunities
My first impressions were correct! I discovered an amazing team: at first I was a bit shy, but people were really inclusive and professional, which allowed me to express myself fully.
Being a Project Manager here allows me to stay flexible. I love the freedom to choose whether to work in the office or at home and the flexibility to manage my own schedule around work and around my daughter.
Future Goals
I want to focus on building on my skills. I’m learning continuously from colleagues and through the interesting projects I’m working on. The logistics sector is extremely dynamic and fast paced, there’s always something happening and our clients keep us on our toes!
I’m also looking forward to finishing my PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner certificate, which will cement my project management skills. But for now, I’m really looking forward to seeing colleagues from across Europe at this summer’s get-together in the High Tatras mountains of Slovakia.”
