True to form the 2026 edition of the Small Posts & Islands Postal Forum was a great success. Three days of engaging and stimulating talk covering a wide range of topics including; postal / parcel pricing strategies, crowd sourcing, digital transformation, collaboration, ecommerce logistics, social value and DDP. Plus, of course, the topic of the day / year - Artificial Intelligence. As a group we reviewed both its challenges and opportunities, prompted by a thought provoking presentation from Omniva.

Huge advances in AI capability have been made in the past 12 months with capabilities estimated to be doubling every 7 months. The technology is starting to impact all areas of business and society at large and its potential for the logistics sector is relatively untapped compared to others.

At The Information Factory we're actively exploring the opportunities presented by Artificial Intelligence both in terms of harnessing it to simplify solution development and incorporating its power as a feature embedded within our products and services.
